I was with my friends, in this room, talking about what it feels like to die. The doors opened, and this bright light lit up the room. There was a ton of other children, mostly ones I recognized, in the room with my group. Everyone started walking towards this light. I knew we were all dead. We started walking up a bright staircase to a glowing wall, where the light was coming from. I found one of my friends and we started talking while walking. I can’t remember all of the dialogue, but I remember hoping heaven was nice.
We reach the top and a woman stops us and tells us we can clasp our hands together and shake them if we want to stay but not if we want to go. My friend and I claps hands and suddenly we are in a bright and giant white room with smaller cubby like boxes and beds. Everyone starts running to find a box to claim, and I kept spinning around trying to find my friends. We find each other eventually, and we settle on two rooms next to each other. I turn to him.
“I hope my heaven will look like my childhood room.”
“That’s a good room.”
I woke up crying.
I know I lie to myself.
